Fabulous Food
The Fabulous Food project introduced young people to the benefits of good food and drink. The project was a partnership between the Bulmer Foundation, Slow Food Herefordshire and the Aim Higher Young Apprenticeship scheme. Using a practical and fun process to engage young people in education about food and drink, its connection with farming and its potential role in culture, health and the environment, we aimed to encourage an attitude that good, locally distinctive food is worth celebrating.

The project helped students gain an understanding of:
- Where food comes from, in terms of its origin (the land), and its locality (Herefordshire), how it is produced, and how it gets to our dinner table.
- What constitutes healthy and wholesome food.
- How to prepare tasty, healthy food and drink
- How to present, respect and enjoy the fruits of the land and of their labour
A film of the project was sent to every school in Herefordshire and shown at the Flavours of Herefordshire Food Festival.
